Summer Camp

St. Elisabeth’s Nursery School offers a summer camp program called Summer at St. Elisabeth’s Nursery School. The summer camp program is open to all children in the greater community ages three to five. Children must be three years old and toilet-trained by the first day of summer camp. Summer at St. Elisabeth’s Nursery School meets on the playground Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for two separate sessions during the summer. Session A meets for three weeks in June and Session B meets for three weeks in July. Children may enroll for one or both sessions. Brochures, including applications, for Summer at St. Elisabeth’s Nursery School generally become available starting in December.
Weather permitting, the summer camp program takes place outside on the playground adjacent to the St. Elisabeth’s parish center building. The children spend their mornings together enjoying a wide variety of games, arts and crafts activities, and water play. During inclement weather, the summer camp program takes place inside in the basement gym on the lower level of the St. Elisabeth’s parish center building. On those days, some activities may be tailored to fit the indoor setting. However, the equipment in the basement gym offers ample opportunity for the children to exercise their gross motor skills and engage in fantasy play. The children are asked to bring their own cold lunch and drink each day to enjoy with teachers and friends. Lunches are stored in the nursery school refrigerator.
